Untitled

You may recognize this as a Windows desktop background. It is currently the background on my computer at work. The thing I find so intriguing (and the reason I've decided to add it to my blog) is the reflection in the little blue window. You don't see the outside looking through the window. You see the outside looking in the window. It's charmingly ironic.

That is ironic. The window is for seeing OUT, even from the outside. It reflects to assert that the true beauty is not kept inside--it cannot be contained, and is free.

so i guess the picture says:
"I am reflecting
I am free."

That reminds me of the picture of Jesus standing at the door knocking. Have you ever noticed that there is no handle on the door? Jesus cannont open the door, only the person on the inside can open it. This picture also reminds me of the passage in Romans that states that all of creation "reflects/testifies" who God is. Maybe the window is reflecting creation and therefore reflecting God's eternal qualities to us?
